These are paintings I did of two different Claude Cahun photographic self portraits. They are in acrylic paint. Both are done in only two colors. I really enjoyed making these as an ode or bow to her because she was an amazing artist and free-thinker...doing this got me thinking of painting a whole series of important women that give me the chills...Simone de Beauvoir is next.
